Assignment #3 Worlds Aids Day Dec. 1

1. What does HIV and AIDS stand for?
HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. If you get infected with HIV, your body will try to fight the infection. It will make "antibodies", special molecules that are supposed to fight HIV. AIDS stand for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

2. List all of the ways that HIV is transmitted.
The blood, vaginal fluid, semen, and breast milk of people infected with HIV has enough of the virus in it to infect other people. You can get HIV from anyone who's infected, even if they don't look sick, even if they haven't tested positive. 

3. What action can you take to prevent the spread of HIV AIDS?
 To prevent HIV it begins with avoiding behaviors that will put a person at risk for getting the disease. Illegal drug use and sharing needles or having unprotected sex with someone who is HIV/AIDS positive is one of the most common ways to contract the disease. Talking about AIDS with your sexual partners and be sure they have been tested for HIV and AIDS.

4. Choose one of the fact sheets and share the infrormation that you learned from it on your blog.
In 2007, the estimated number of persons living with HIV worldwide was 33.2 million and there were 2.7 million people newly infected

5. Share this blog with a friend, or a relative to educate him or her about the HIV epedemic

assignment #2

1.  What book or magazine did you read?  What pages did you read?  What is the title of the story, quiz, article etc?  What page numbers did you read?  
Cosmo Girl Book Quiz, took the quiz from the first 31 pages.

2.  What did you predict your book would be about?  Were you correct in your prediction?  Explain.
I predicted that the book would ask personal questions along with outside questions meaning things going on outside.

3.  What interesting information did you learn that you want to share with other people?  Write about what you learned in your own words.  
I learn things about myself and things that i already knew about myself, also learning what type of person I am. The quiz also make you understand what type of person you are and sometimes makes you understand why you the way you are. 

4.  Why do you think it is important?
Its important because you can learn more about yourself and who you are.

5.   What questions do you have about what you learned? 
I learned what color I am. I learned what type of car I am.

6.  What other topics are you interested in learning about?
Safe Sex and how to handle different situation.
